....and the world was silent again

This post has been published by me as a part of the Blog-a-Ton 35; the thirty-fifth edition of the online marathon of Bloggers; where we decide and we write. To be part of the next edition, visit and start following Blog-a-Ton. The theme for the month is "...and the world was silent again"

She could hear the continuous honking , the rush and commotion at the station, the noise at the market place. She could hear people screaming for help.

She woke up with a start and looked around to see her husband gesturing with his hands. She smiled back at him … and the world was silent again.

But seriously, it's good that it was just a nightmare and his husband was with her.

  5. I read the 55-er, and I read your About Me. If this is how you share your thoughts, then I've to say, you are making it tough to understand the myriad dimensions to your self! :O
    LOL.

Anyway, I like this story, really like it. For the simple reason that you let the reader's imagination 'play' itself 'out'.

  11. A very paradoxical expression of life in such crisp, forceful sentences. Needs a lot of thought. Excellent.

  12. I read thrice and came up with multiple versions, none that I am confident of.
    -she was sleeping?
-she was in a crowded market place?
-she was in a small accident.. but her husband was there to comfort her?
-there was some sort of panic.. but she felt good on seeing her husband.

OMG. I feel stupid ;p But I know you will pardon me. but kindly direct me.

    1. @Kshitij : Lol chill, you dont have to feel stupid .. they are a deaf and dumb couple.. and it was a dream that the wife saw to which she woke up.I hope that simplifies things :)

    2. Woah :) Yeah, makes sense. Thanks for understanding your dumbbbb readers. :)

  17. It was 'As You Like It' kind of write up. But you managed to surprise your readers.
