Rozabal Line - A Review

Ufff , Ashwin Sanghi is my Favorite Indian Author. So prepare to read a very Biased review about his book. I was first introduced to Ashwin Sanghi's work via Chankya Chant, later the Krishna Key. Coming to think of it now, i should have read Rozabal Line first as its his first book ,which was initially published under a pseudo name.

What I love about this author , is the amount of research he puts in,in his each of his books. Its commendable. Yes, its Fiction, but eventually , we do get a glimpse of truth and then its left to your understanding.

Rozabal line talks about Christ and the speculations about his death, whether he actually died during crucifixion, and why was the "routine" knee breaking not done, or why wasn't the body left to decay as was the norm then. The plot weaves in and out of various times, from AD to present, without confusing the reader. It talks about secret societies that do exist, and their relation with the others. Past life regression is beautifully used here.

The Characters are all part of the same thread, which makes up a wonderful cloth. Its intriguing, gritty and fast paced. Not once, would you think, "what the hell am i reading" .

Rozabal Line, is just an awefabtatstic read.

Im not delving much into the storyline, as i really want you guys to READ this book. Tell me if you like it as much as I did.

my review : 8.5/10

  5. At the risk being stoned for this - I must say that didn't quite like the book.

A friend of mine (a voracious reader mind you) couldn't get beyond the first 20 pages and had to put down the book. He blames the meandering narrative style possibly inspired from Dan Brown's Da Vinci Code and I think I`ll have to side with him on that.

His other 2 books though are an absolute treat to read.

    1. Hahahhhhha ... That's totally alright :) lololol .... I understand the not getting beyond the 20 pgs bit, as i did have trouble myself, but something about teh book just kept me wanting to read it ... And yes, i did take more time tahn i usually would have.

I wouldnt say his style is typical as that of Dan Brown. its more parallels that are drawn as is seen in all his books :) :P .

His other books too do call for a patient reader :) ...

And between all this im so happyyyy to seee you back here. It just feels like eons ago :)
